tack :-)

Anke, making soap is a bit complicated so I cannot tell the process shortly. But in short: you mix oils & fats (like coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil, rapeseed oil, shea butter etc etc) with lye to start the process ... the lye disappeares and turns into soap & alcalic (not sure of the word) salts = soap. You need protection clothes, you have to be very careful about weights and proportions so that it doesn't come out soft & oily, or lye heavy, you have to think of right temperatures, to mix in the right way, different kind of additives (both softening oils - like shea butter - , smell, structure etc) ... to know which oils are good for what etc etc. I made those "oven hot process" which means I "cook" the soap in the oven. I'm also making soap "cold process" which means it has to "cure" by itself, cold process takes about a month. But if you want to know more exactly, or to read a tutorial, you can search at google.
